Dog Child LLC, is a family owned dog walking and pet care services company. Dog Child is licensed, bonded and insured, as well as proud members of the Pet Sitters Associates and ASPCA. Our team consists of walkers and pet care givers that are trained in Pet First Aid & CPR.

Our History
Dog Child is owned by Jessica and Lisimba. The love for their dog, Kalua, inspired their passion to care for pet children. Her intelligence, willing to please and athletic ability motivated them to learn more about dog behavior and training, as well as information about other types of pets.
In 2005 they moved to Washington DC from Florida. While Lisimba attended law school, he had the opportunity to temporarily dog walk for neighbors and soon after for many others as well. Jessica was able to assist with dog walking while working as an HR professional at a Pediatric HIV/AIDS non-profit organization. They soon realized how much they enjoyed caring for pet children and they decided to launch their own pet care business in 2010.
Dog Child acquired their business license in October 2010 and are licensed bonded and Insured as well as Pet First Aid trained.
